Connie Chen, PA-C worked as an Emergency Room Scribe and an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Technician before her position as a Physician’s Assistant here at Montes Medical Group. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychobiology from UCLA. Afterward, she attended the Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans and earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

Connie is a Taiwanese American and LA native with a deep desire to instill a stronger sense of humanity back into medicine. She is notable for the care and attention she provides to patients. Connie takes the time to understand her patients’ concerns and involve them in the treatment plan to more effectively address their symptoms.

Although she is capable of treating the full scope of primary care ailments, her main interest lies in working with patients struggling with heart failure. During her studies, Connie spent a lot of time with hospitalized patients battling this issue and was a firsthand witness to how debilitating the disease can be. She is also excited by the concept of ventricular assist devices and their impact on advancing the medical industry.

On a personal note, Connie appreciates the joy that her dog, Cookie, brings to her life, and she even displays a picture of his face on her badge holder to share with her patients. She looks forward to making such connections with her patients and providing them with the care and compassion they need to feel better again.
