About Dr. Tran
Alex L. Tran, MD, of Montes Medical Group located in the greater Los Angeles area, attended medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, and his residency in family medicine at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Tran enjoys treating the broad spectrum of health issues encountered in the practice of his specialty, family medicine. He takes a special interest in the treatment of diabetes, obesity, and skin disorders.
Dr. Tran educates and involves patients about the nature of their illnesses and treatment options, believing that patients should play an active role in the decision-making process. As a result, Dr. Tran’s treatment philosophy focuses on the belief that good medical practice takes root in humanity. Treatment is for the whole person, not just a disease or abnormal diagnostic finding, to triumph in providing a prolonged and meaningful quality of life.
Dr. Tran maintains hospital staff privileges at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier, California, and Beverly Hospital in Montebello. Dr. Tran joined Montes Medical Group in 2000 and works full time at the Whittier clinic.
